Of course I'd probably end up having to up the minutes (again).
I was by Verizon today and re-upped for two years at the next higher plan, 400 minutes, plus 1000 minutes to any other Verizon Phone Customer, plus unlimited nights and weekends - all for $39.95 a month.
(I had 300 min, 1000 nights/weekends for $34.95)
I also got a nicer phone - a Samsung i600. The phone has a built in e-mail program and a nice crisp screen (think color PDA level). It works on Windows CE Smartphone software. I can use the web browser, download e-mail etc at about 14.4kbps for a straight minute charge, or I could upgrade to a faster plan if I need to later.
One thing I didn't get is text messaging, as I know of very few who have it, so I'm not sure how much use I'd get from it. I did turn the feature on, but it's on an individual message cost - 2¢ per to receive and 10¢per to send. The next level is 200 messages (send or receive) for $2.99
