Three Lies, Three Truths. LK gets me again.

OK LK, I'll go with this one ...

1) I worked on the original Star Trek Enterprise model (TV Series NCC-1701)

2) I have met Bob Keeshan (Captain Kangaroo)

3) I have at least one piercing.

4) I have sucessfully taken apart and rebuilt a lawnmower engine.

5) I have operated a vehicle that weighs over sixty tons.

6) I have never had any of my drawings or writings published.

I'm supposed to tag six people with this, but the new rule seems to be that you do it if you feel like it.

I'll give it a shot...

5) I have operated a vehicle that weighs over sixty tons.

Yup, gotta be a train; probably LK's

3) I have at least one piercing.

Have? Well I would've guessed *had*, at some HudsonFur meet way back when; I only remember 'cause I was thinking of getting one myself at the time.

As for the rest, um...

1) I worked on the original Star Trek Enterprise model (TV Series NCC-1701)

I've heard you're quite into modelling, and certainly a classic sci-fi fan; plausible.

2) I have met Bob Keeshan (Captain Kangaroo)

Sounds plausible.

4) I have sucessfully taken apart and rebuilt a lawnmower engine.

Homeowner, good with detail; plausible.

6) I have never had any of my drawings or writings published.

Sounds false; I'm sure you've had something published somewhere, at least a story in a conbook.

I'll guess meeting Captain Kangaroo!
1, 3, & 5 are true. :=3
I know for certain that 1 and 5 are true, and 6 is false. As for the rest:

2. most likely to be true considering the kind of people we hang out with.
3. probably not, unless you count the time we got shot by those space orcs on Regulon VI.
4. well, the first half I bet is true. :)
1) I worked on the original Star Trek Enterprise model (TV Series NCC-1701)
True as I recall you taling about how it had been damaged by poor handling and support.

2) I have met Bob Keeshan (Captain Kangaroo)
Ah, here's the iffy one for me. Your Dad worked in the industry and I think you did meet Bob but I'm not sure.

3) I have at least one piercing.
Not the last I can recall. I think you use ear cuff at times.

4) I have sucessfully taken apart and rebuilt a lawnmower engine.
Totally within the realm of possibility but I don't recall you saying you did.

5) I have operated a vehicle that weighs over sixty tons.
More than once if I recall correctly. A dream come true for a rail fan like yourself.

6) I have never had any of my drawings or writings published.
Yup, this one is true. You did at least one guest strip for Gneech.

And the answers are ...

The odd numbers are true.

1) I helped with the restoration of the original model for the Smithsonian. A friend of mine had the contract back in the early 1990's.
We also did the Klingon and Tholian ships.
As a result I also met quite a few of the cast at various events to do with the exhibit.

2)False - My Dad was a Special Effects Director at CBS TV in New York. He took me and my brothers in on Saturdays once in a while (he ran the projectors for the 1:00 newscast with Roger Mudd). I have been on most of the Treasure House sets, but never met the Captain.

3) Yep. true. and not an earring. I did a septum pierce many years back, and just decided to keep the retainer in place. As it's black, it is not noticeable. 6 Ga, if you're curious about details.

4) Nope, I've never tackled a two stroke, although I've changed the head gasket and carburetor on my '68 Falcon (200 cuin straight six)

5) True, thanks to LK, I ran one of the Cape May RDC's for a couple of miles. Before that, I had only run trolley cars (I was qualified as a Motorman at the Branford CT Museum).

6) False - Aside from the two Suburban Jungle guest strips, I've had several model railroad related articles and drawings published.
