Did you know ....

That the lyrics to "Amazing Grace" fit the tune from the "Gilligan's Island Theme" perfectly?

Try it!

"Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me....
I once was lost but now am found,
Was blind, but now, I see.

Twas Grace that taught...
my heart to fear.
And Grace, my fears relieved.
How precious did that Grace appear...
the hour I first believed.

Through many dangers, toils and snares...
we have already come.
Twas Grace that brought us safe thus far...
and Grace will lead us home.

The Lord has promised good to me...
His word my hope secures.
He will my shield and portion be...
as long as life endures.

When we've been here ten thousand years...
bright shining as the sun.
We've no less days to sing God's praise...
then when we've first begun.

"Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me....
I once was lost but now am found,
Was blind, but now, I see.

And vis versa, nearly as funny.
Erp....

Okay, that's reminded me of my father's funeral. And grandfathers... Actually this song is used all the time within our family when someone dies.

Quite a co-incidence there. Don't worry, I'm okay about it, just was a bit of a shock really.
That's amazing!
I like that "through many dangers, toils and snares" synchs right up with "the weather started getting rough". Nicely parallel.

Get That Out Of My Head!

Actually it's not that bad. Just a bit strange in my present mind set.
The NAVY, a three hour cruise? :=3
OMG... lol
lol :)
kinda neat.

but, i still like "Stairway to Gilligan" that puts the Gilligan's Island lyrics into the tune for "Stairway to Heaven".

and then there is the band Beatallica (beatallica.com) that put the words to Beatles songs into Metallica music. like "Enter Taxman".
